The idea for New Motion Video was conceived while I was working on the homepage of our Real Estate website while the TV was on. With so many other Real Estate websites on the Internet, I was always searching for a new way to keep our website "fresh looking" and to keep a website visitor longer on our site.
The theory behind this concept was based on this: If a website visitor stayed longer on our site, the percentage would increase that they would actually contact us. Thus, resulting in an opportunity for us to help a new Buyer or Seller. Like so many other websites on the Internet, we filled our website with pictures, text and local information with hope that a visitor would read, look, and contact us with an email or phone call.
The streaming video idea popped into my head when the TV program that I was watching went to a commercial break. You see, advertising on a TV show is very expensive. TV advertisers can pay upwards of hundreds to thousands of dollars per 30-seconds to advertise their product or service with the expectation that the TV viewer will decide to purchase or try their product.
So I figured why not try that with our website. A TV commercial on our homepage? Easier said than done. As I researched the idea, I found out that this streaming video technology was way too expensive to incorporate into our website and nobody but the biggest industries on the Internet were utilizing any type of video on their websites.
I felt like Henry Ford when he came up with the idea of the V-8 engine. All his engineers said it was impossible to develop, a waste of time, and who would ever need an engine of that size. So Henry Ford did something that no one expected him to do. He researched and found other engineers that were up to the challenge of developing a V-8 engine. And the rest of his story is history!
Well I did the same thing. I researched and found the right website video engineers that were up to the challenge of developing my V-8 engine called New Motion Video. Like Henry Ford and his engineers experienced, this did not happen overnight. It took countless hours of research and development to finally complete.
My first video player on our Real Estate website was about the size of a postage stamp. A small grainy video picture, but with crystal clear audio. At least our website visitors could hear our message and we now had something that was a little different from our Real Estate competition.
During this time of trial and error, the Internet was growing at a tremendous rate and speed. Technology was keeping up with the industry and software developers were releasing the latest and greatest products and programs.
Like Henry Fords V-8 engine, New Motion Video depended upon many different parts and products to operate correctly. Once all the pieces of this puzzle became available it was time to complete and assemble the finished product.
Once I added this video player to our website homepage, our website reached a whole new level. From that point forward, every future client that visited our website decided to contact us to buy or sell a home based on our streaming video message. We have closed millions of dollars of Real Estate escrows because of our streaming video message.
